What it is
The Completion tab brings the end of a project together. The handover checklist tracks documents, as-built drawings, manuals, test certificates, warranties, training and keys. Defects go Open → Being fixed → Fixed → Verified → Closed, and whoever records the fix cannot also verify it. Practical completion is recorded by a planning approver - never automatically - and starts the defects liability period. Metrak then shows the retention release plan (part at completion, the rest when the defects period ends) and what still stands between the project and an agreed final account.
Why you'll love it
- Completing with open snags is normal - they stay on the list until fixed and verified.
- Retention due at completion and at the end of the defects period is worked out for you, with a “Release Retention” button next to it.
- Overdue defects show in the bell for the people who can act on them.
