What it is
Open a DWG or DXF plan and click “3D view”. Answer three quick questions - how high the walls are and how many floors, which layers hold the walls, doors and windows (Metrak guesses them for you), and how the outside should look. Metrak raises the walls, cuts real door and window openings with lintels and glass, adds floor slabs and an optional roof, and dresses the outside walls in stone, paint, brick, concrete or wood. Rotate, zoom and change heights or finishes live.
Why you'll love it
- Show clients their building before a single block is laid - perfect for proposals and approvals.
- Most plans need just one click: layers, heights and scale are detected for you.
- Try stone vs paint vs brick, or two floors vs three, in seconds.
- Site pins appear in 3D too, so you can see where issues are.

Pro tips
- Check the size badge at the bottom (e.g. “Building size ≈ 44 × 22 m”). If it looks wrong, set the scale under Step 1 → Advanced.
- No openings? Make sure the door and window layers are tagged in Step 2 - Metrak finds each door and window from its symbol.
- Your choices are remembered for each drawing, so next time it opens exactly as you left it.
- This is a quick visual model, not BIM: every floor repeats the same plan.
