What it is
A payment application claims the work done to date: measured BOQ quantities, approved variation work, milestones and materials on site, less retention (with its cap), advance recovery and previous certificates, plus VAT. Valuations are cumulative, so each one claims only what is new. It goes Draft → Submitted → Under review → Certified, Partly certified or Rejected. What you requested and what the client certified are both kept, a certified application is locked, and its certificate becomes exactly one sales invoice.
Why you'll love it
- “Refresh from site” pulls in the latest measured quantities and approved variations.
- Certified less than claimed? It is recorded as partly certified - the difference is never lost.
- You cannot certify your own submission, and nothing is ever certified automatically.
- The same workflow values your subcontractors’ claims.
