What it is
The Overview in a project’s Finance tab keeps the figures that are easy to confuse apart: revised contract value (original plus approved variations), work measured, certified by the client, invoiced and collected. Actual cost is recorded purchases, expenses and certified subcontract work - payments are cash, not cost. Commitments are purchase orders not yet invoiced and subcontract value not yet certified. From these Metrak forecasts final cost, revenue, profit and margin, with a separate “if agreed” scenario that includes pending variations, and early warnings such as a thin margin, budget overrun, certified work not yet invoiced or measured work not yet claimed.
Why you'll love it
- Variation, application and subcontract figures open the list behind them.
- Cost to complete starts as a suggestion - override it with your own estimate.
- Undecided variations are labelled “if agreed” - never mixed into the real forecast.
